Comet - MOB Smoke & Light Marker 1616

The Comet Man Overboard (MOB) Smoke & Light marker is Transport Canada and SOLAS Approved. It is will be activated by a pull wire igniter and the electric lights will be switched on by a tilt switch upon being removed from the mounting bracket by the pull from the lifebuoy when thrown overboard.

The smoke signal emits dense orange smoke for a total of 15 minutes. The signal is safe on oil or petrol covered water. The signal is manufactured of seawater resistant aluminum and plastic.

The MOB is used to mark the position of a lifebuoy when thrown overboard. The purpose is to facilitate faster location and rescue of Persons in the water. There is no light function test required and the new mounting bracket makes for simple installation and deployment.
